Moll Wendén is taking a decisive step in its development by joining AGRD Partners – an innovative group that has grown rapidly in the Nordic legal market and is unique in its field in Europe. Through the move, Moll Wendén becomes part of a larger business law group, while continuing to operate under its own name with its existing management, culture and client relationships intact.
AGRD Partners brings together leading business law firms around a shared ambition: to become a leading force in European business law through innovation, digital solutions and artificial intelligence. The group is backed by the Nordic private equity firm Axcel and aims to grow across the Nordics and internationally.
Moll Wendén holds a strong position in southern Sweden and will be the first Malmö-based firm within AGRD. As part of the transaction, the firm gains access to AGRD Partners’ expertise and capabilities in digital solutions and artificial intelligence. For clients, the change means full continuity in teams, contacts and advisory services – combined with access to greater resources, additional specialist expertise and a broader business law environment.
“We have always focused on delivering high-quality legal advice through international, innovative ways of working and collaborations. Joining AGRD Partners gives us access to broader resources and expertise, allowing us to build on what we do best,” says Ebba Walberg Snygg, Managing Partner at Moll Wendén.
With the emergence of artificial intelligence and other technological developments, business law advisory services are undergoing fundamental and rapid change. Client needs are evolving, working methods are being transformed and the demands for efficiency, specialist knowledge and commercial understanding are increasing. Joining AGRD marks a pivotal step for Moll Wendén into this new reality, creating an exceptional opportunity for growth and continued leadership in business law advisory services.
“Moll Wendén stands out for its combination of specialist expertise, regional strength and forward-looking approach to the evolution of legal services. The firm has built a strong presence in the Öresund market, while also demonstrating a clear commitment to innovation and legal technology, aligning closely with our long-term strategy. We are very pleased to welcome them into the group,” says Maria-Pia Hope, Group CEO of AGRD Partners.
For employees, joining AGRD means gaining access to a larger firm environment, broader knowledge-sharing and more opportunities for professional development. AGRD’s model also means that employees can participate in the group’s long-term development through a joint incentive programme.
“AGRD Partners’ investment in Moll Wendén represents recognition of our journey. Our ambition is to preserve and strengthen what has made us successful – team spirit, quality and a strong client focus – while gaining access to leading technology, valuable experience and business models that will shape the development of business law advisory services in the years ahead. This is the right way forward for the firm, our clients and our people,” says Ebba Walberg Snygg.
As a consequence of AGRD’s ownership structure and its ambition to make long-term investments in technology, development and new ways of working, Moll Wendén will operate outside the framework of the Swedish Bar Association. The firm will continue to provide business law advisory services subject to the same high standards of quality, integrity, confidentiality and professional responsibility. AGRD has adopted its own code of conduct applicable to all firms within the group, aimed at ensuring a consistently high ethical standard in client relationships.
