Moll Wendén has acted as legal advisor to Lindab in its acquisition of EKOVENT Aktiebolag, a leading Swedish manufacturer of ventilation and fire & smoke protection products.

EKOVENT has 64 employees and is a market leading ventilation company for fire & smoke protection. EKOVENT has its head office and two production facilities in Vellinge, outside Malmö, as well as sales offices in Stockholm and Gothenburg. In 2019, EKOVENT had sales of approximately SEK 123 million with an operating margin in line with Lindab’s profitability. EKOVENT mainly manufactures products for fire & smoke protection but also offers other ventilation products such as roof hoods, louvres, dampers and fans. The acquisition complements Lindab on many levels and strengthens Lindab’s position in fire & smoke protection in Sweden.
