Employment and staffing

In a global, interconnected economy, labour market conditions are constantly changing. Expertise and personnel are becoming key resources for competing on an international market, which places high demands on both managers and personnel. At the same time, employment legislation in both Sweden and the EU is being updated at the same pace as emerging new business models and working methods. Keeping up to date can be challenging, but managing the changes properly can also present an organisation with great opportunities, not in the least in terms of attracting and retaining the right expertise.

Restructuring processes, negotiations and disputes

As labour market conditions change, we help employers with strategic and operational employment law issues. We assist our clients with negotiations, disputes and investigations, help develop and implement employment law processes and provide support in connection with restructuring.

We assist employers from the planning stage to implementation in a wide range of restructuring processes. We negotiate collective agreements, restructurings and individual matters, such as redeployment, termination and summary dismissals. Employment law disputes are a natural part of our practice, as we regularly represent employers in the Labour Court, district courts and before arbitral tribunals.

The social climate and whistleblowing have led to an increased need for independent and legally sound investigations. In complex situations, we act as an external party assisting both private and public sector organisations with support for decision making, conclusions and proposals for appropriate measures.

Close cooperation with employers

We work closely with employers, as well as HR and personnel managers, on a wide range of employment law issues. We have an extensive international employment law network for those cases where our work extends beyond Sweden’s borders.

The issues that we help our clients with include the following:

  • Collective agreements, incentive schemes and personnel policies
  • Negotiations with trade unions and employees
  • Employment law in connection with mergers and acquisitions, outsourcing and restructuring
  • Risk management in connection with due diligence and contract drafting
  • Employment law court proceedings
  • Trade secrets and disloyalty
  • Bespoke training
  • Termination
  • Discrimination, harassment
  • Work environment
  • Cross-border employment issues
  • Postings

Our range of services is about more than quality-assured employment law processes, i.e. making sure that they are consistent with law, practice and collective agreements. Our experience and extensive network of contacts also allow us to find commercially-adapted solutions to suit each client’s specific business. Our work is based on a combination of cutting-edge expertise in terms of theory, our practical experience and an ear to the ground.
